General Rules and Regulations for the governance and conduct of the Te Kauwhata A & P Show shall be
the same as previously. If any exhibitor is not sure of the conditions they should get in touch with the
Secretary. See also the section specific regulations for each section

Yellow Card - This Show/Event supports the RAS ‘Yellow Card’ system. A Yellow Card will be issued, In cases of offences in respect of abuse of animals or inappropriate behaviour as per the RAS Constitution and the RAS Rules & Regulations/Bylaws including the Equestrian Rulebook, the RAS affiliated Show/Event/registered Measuring Stand and their grounds and their duly appointed delegates may deliver to the Person Responsible a Yellow Warning Card (either immediately or within 10 days of the show) which suspends any penalty until possible new offences. Clean Sport - The Rules of the Royal A&P Society New Zealand in regard to Clean Sport apply. Competitors are advised that tests for forbidden substances may be carried out during the Show/Event and that testing of all animals is at the person responsible’s risk. Forbidden Substance - Any substance capable of affecting the speed, stamina, courage or conduct of a horse, pony, donkey or mule by its action upon the central or peripheral nervous system or the cardio-vascular, respiratory, alimentary, digestive, muscoskeletal or urogenital systems.

Arrears -No person who is in arrears with regard to entry fees, subscriptions, or any other Show/Event charge is eligible to compete at any affiliated Show/Event. Proof of payment will be required before any restriction is lifted.

Summary of RAS Resolution Process – the full process can be found on the RAS website www.ras.org.nz. The principle behind the process is to deal with the matter as it comes to hand and in most cases it should be dealt with directly by the show. If the matter is in regards to an RAS official, the show may request the assistance of RAS Head Office as to how to deal with this in an appropriate manner.

The Association will not be responsible for any accident in competitions or that may occur from machinery or other exhibits or plants belonging to exhibitors, competitors or the Association and it is a condition of entry that such exhibitor, competitor or visitor shall hold the Association blameless and indemnify it against any legal proceedings issuing from any accidents so caused.

Each exhibitor must supervise and control their animals at all times and shall be liable for any hazard
created or accident, illness or damage caused by the action of themselves or their animals at the
showgrounds.

Exhibitors must comply with the appropriate Animal Legislation and the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 and any amendments.

No person is permitted in any judging ring without express permission from the Head Steward of that ring.
Only persons directly responsible for an exhibit are permitted in the marshalling area.

No classes will be held up for competitors competing in other rings, there are no exceptions.

A judicial committee comprising the President, Secretary and Chief Steward of the section concerned will adjudicate any protests. In the event of a conflict of interest an independent alternative will be appointed.

ENTRY FEES & PRIZE MONEY:
You can pay for, or renew a membership with your entry fees. Membership is $12.00/annum.

GROUNDS FEES: $10 per equestrian competitor (max $30), $5 per livestock (cattle, goat) competitor (max $20).

LATE ENTRIES:
THERE WILL BE NO LATE ENTRIES IN ANY SECTION FOR THIS SHOW

MEDIC FEE:
$2.00 per entry will be applied
