Nicola is a Sir Edmund Hillary Scholar at the University of Waikato, studying a Bachelor of Social Sciences, majoring in Psychology.

She competes successfully at Young Rider & Grand Prix level with her imported 12 year old Dutch Warmblood, Carlo, and the pair have had some good placings, including winning both the FMG Young Rider class & the Cambridge Cup Grand Prix at Mystery Creek in November 2019. They were also runners up in the FEI CSI 1* 1.40m class at the Taupō Christmas Classic 2019, & finished 5th in the FMG Young Rider Series last season. They stepped up to Wolrd Cup last season, and finished in 7th place in the Dannevirke World Cup qualifier in January 2019.

Nicola has also competed internationally for Singapore many times, and in August 2018 won the Accumulator and finished 3rd in the Grand Prix at the CSIOY Beijing. Nicola is also a full time coach at the Equestrian Academy at St Peter's School in Cambridge.
