As usual we are aiming to run a fun, friendly competition which allows students to compete against other school teams. If your school cannot find enough riders for a team of 3, you can ride as an individual(s).
PLEASE KEEP ENTRANCE GATE TO GROUNDS CLOSED AT ALL TIMES! NO EXCEPTIONS!
• Competition is open to primary, intermediate and secondary schools.
• In the interests of good sportsmanship, please enter at the level that you would normally compete at.
• Mobile food box will be available for food and coffee.
• Horses and ponies will compete against each other in all phases.
• Appropriate school equestrian uniform must be worn when competing.
• More than one mount per rider is allowed
• Should there be excessive entries, early entries will be given priority.
• All competitors enter at their own risk.
• All events are run under ESNZ rules.
• The committee reserves the right to alter the program.
• Yard numbers will be allocated once entries close and there will be a list available at the office on arrival.
• All riders must respect the stewards and judge’s decisions.
• The committee and judges reserve the right to eliminate any rider or school who:
In their opinion does not ride in a safe and sportsmanship like manner.
• Ribbons for the jumping classes can be collected from office 1hour after the results are posted.
• The prize giving for the Team placings will be held 30 mins after the last results are posted.
• Rider’s must be correctly and smartly attired for the prize giving.
• Please treat the grounds with respect always.
• Please NO DOGS allowed on the grounds.
• No motor bikes allowed to be ridden on grounds other than approved event organisers
• All rubbish and manure must be picked up and yards are to be mucked out, there will be bins provided.
• All horses must wear horse ID tags on halters at all times
• Riders must wear approved safety helmets at all times when they are mounted and in yards with horses!
• Back protectors MUST be worn in the Cross-Jump event.
• NO Cross-Country jumps on the grounds are to be jumped at any time.
• It is the team manager’s responsibility to check that the riders can control their mounts and are capable of competing in the classes entered with safe and appropriate gear, to be checked by Team Manager/Parent.
• There will be an ambulance onsite.
• Any riders to fall/injure themselves must be seen by Medical Personal before remounting
