Welcome back to the Manawatu and to the first Royal Show to be held at Manfeild Park, Feilding on Friday 6, Saturday 7, and Sunday 8 December 2013.

The last Manawatu hosted New Zealand Royal Show was held at Arena Manawatu, Palmerston North in 2002 and so it is with much anticipation and excitement that the “Royal” will return this time at the fabulous new venue, Manfeild Park in Feilding.

The Consortium partners of the Manawatu West Coast A & P Association, Feilding I A & P Association, Manfeild Park Trust, and Performance Beef Breeders (PBBNZ) events arm Hot Wire Events Ltd have pooled resources and individual strengths in the areas of equine and livestock competition; venue preparation and large scale event capability; and event management and marketing to create an action packed three day festival with a “something for everyone” atmosphere and flavour.

Our aim is to attract a high standard of entries in the Livestock competitions with alpaca, beef, dairy, pigs, sheep and wool, and home industries, together with a full three days of spectacular Equestrian competition is assured. The Showjumping World Cup qualifying round will be a highlight.

Woodchopping, shearing and woolhandling, a speed shear, farriers, vintage machinery, a bullride and our farmworld and schools programme are all big attractions to our Show this year.

A full three days of entertainment are planned together with two night shows. The “Christmas in The Park” concert on Saturday evening featuring popular gigs like the Topp Twins and Titanium, and a grand finale concert on the Sunday evening with the Warratahs culminating in a Fireworks Spectacular.

A very warm welcome to our visitors from across the Tasman to compete against the New Zealand finalists in the Rural Ambassador, Young Judges and Parader’s competitions and to our Trade Show exhibitors who are a very important component of the Royal Show.
