Nicola graduated as a Sir Edmund Hillary Scholar in 2020 from the University of Waikato, with a Bachelor of Social Sciences, majoring in Psychology. She has competed successfully at Young Rider, Grand Prix, CSI 1* 1.40m and World Cup level with her Dutch warmblood, Carlo; and has also competed internationally for Singapore multiple times.
