ever pony grand prix win today (Sunday) at the Wellington Horowhenua
Showjumping Championships in Foxton.</strong></p>

"Arial","sans-serif""><br>Riding the perennial Chobidong, Porter headed off 15
other combinations. Five went through to the jump-off where the very consistent
Melanie Weal (Te Awamutu) and Hopeful Illusion were first out, going clear in
40.93.</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt"><span style="font-family:
"Arial","sans-serif""><br>Next out was Porter who rode the round of her life to go
clear in 40.27. The next three chased hard but paid for their efforts with a rail
a piece.</span></p>

"Arial","sans-serif""><br>In the horse grand prix Katie McVean (Mystery Creek) and
Dunstan Daffodil set a scorching pace as the first of five combinations into
the jump-off. They flew home clear in 34.01 over the Heather McDonald designed
course.</span></p>

"Arial","sans-serif""><br>Danielle Maurer (Auckland) and Blue was next out but
picked up 12 faults, followed by Lisa Coupe (Kumeu) and Bates Amaretto who took
a rail at the Liverpool and then Oliver Edgecombe (Waipukurau) on Billistic who
went clear but couldn’t match McVean’s time.</span></p>

"Arial","sans-serif""><br>Last to go was Doug Isaacson (Dannevirke) and Major Brown
who while clear, had to settle for second place behind McVean.</span></p>

"Arial","sans-serif""><br>In the STH pro amateur rider Mandy Illston (Bulls) and
Valuation combined speed with accuracy and took the class ahead of Tim Finch
(Waipukurau) on Mr Munga 3 who were faster but took a rail.</span></p>
