Bell Tea Super League after Arran Station

Woods, Ohaupo, riding Too Predictable, won the Red Snap’r Advanced class at the
Arran Station Horse Trials at Takapau on 15/16 October, having their first
start at this level.</strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Jessica, who won both the Massey University
Young Rider series as well as the Junior Rider series last season, now heads
the Bell Tea Super League as well as the Young Rider series for the current
season, having scored maximum points for her all the way win at Takapau.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">She led the field of twenty-two starters after
the dressage by the narrowest of margins, scoring 34.3 penalties, but
showjumped clear, and was clear across country with 5.2 time penalties for a
final score of 39.5.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Last year’s winner and fellow team member
Ashleigh McKinstry, Taumarunui, riding Pioneer Makokomiko was second on 45.4,
adding 6.8 cross-country time penalties to a dressage score of 38.6, while team
captain Simon Gordon, <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Auckland</st1:city></st1:place>,
was third with Simply Mitch, adding 7.2 cross-country time penalties to their
dressage score of 40.4.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Amanda Wards was second after the dressage
scoring 34.5 with Wynyard Albert, but had a forgettable showjumping round and
subsequently retired on the cross-country. Bryce Newman scored 34.6 dressage
penalties with Bates Trademark, but incurred time penalties in both jumping
phases to drop down the order.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Donna Smith was fourth on Sarah Varley’s
Just Chocolate, and South Islander Christen Hayde, currently based in
Palmerston Nth, was fifth with Tandarra Sweet As, ahead of Simon Gordon with
his second ride, Fletch.com.</span></p>
