Rails costly for Todd in Holland

<div><strong>Two rails in the showjumping proved costly for double Olympic gold medal winner Mark Todd at a three day event in Holland, but he heads home with a 2012 Olympic qualification to his credit.</strong><br><br><div>Todd and NZB Campino led into the final phase at the three star event in Boekelo, Holland, but in the end had to settle for third.<br><br><div>“You can not be disappointed with him,” said Todd of the nine-year-old horse. “He felt a bit flat today but you have to remember that although this was his first three star, he has had a big season with Saumur, Compiegne, the Harras du Pin World Cup, Blenheim and the test event all under his belt.”<br><br><div>Conditions were tough at Boekelo where heavy rain and cold weather saw 20 eliminations and 10 retirements through the cross country.<br><br><div>Kiwi Megan Heath in just her first three star start was clear in her cross country, picking up a few time faults, and also clean and clear in the showjumping, to finish in 54th spot aboard St Daniel, with Bruce Haskell and Debbie Mitchell both eliminated during the cross country.<br><br><br><div><strong>Results -&nbsp;</strong><div>Andreas Dibowski (GBR) FRH Butts Avedon 46.6 dressage, 0 cross country, 0 showjumping, 46.6 total 1; Camilla Speirs (IRE) Portersize Just a Jif 48.8, 0, 0, 48.8 2; Mark Todd (NZL) NZB Campino 39, 2.4, 9, 82.05 3' Megan Heath (NZL) St Daniel 73, 11.2, 0, 84.2 54.<br><br><em>- Diana Dobson<br>Media Liaison, ESNZ</em><br>
